As it moves right /left, you can guess its next apparition. The second stage is more difficult but you got to choose a location and from there, point the basilik head level before it appears and keep attacking. In fact, in the first stage, you got to move right / left and attacks the basilik when it bows its head.
I don't understand why suddenly the game becomes difficult and you got to be patient and courageous to beat the famous basilik. If the levels are maybe too long for saving or a bit repetitive, however the suspense is here and you can live the big moments of the book: the meeting with the spider king, the discovery of the chamber of secrets. Thus it is a real pleasure: the cut-scenes are excellent to give the pace and the mood to the story. It looks like very much the first game but with the awaited upgrading in gameplay.
